Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday that Pakistan is scheduled to embark on a white-ball series tour to Australia in November this year.
The tour signifies the initiation of Australia’s white-ball fixtures for the summer of 2024-25 and will feature a total of six games, comprising three one-day internationals and three twenty20 internationals. According to the PCB, these matches will take place across six cities from November 4 to November 18.
After an absence of nearly 11 months, Pakistan will return to Australia following their participation in the Benaud-Qadir Trophy, involving three Test matches played in Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne between December 2023 and January 2024, as stated by the PCB.
The three-match ODI series is slated to commence on November 4 at the renowned Melbourne Cricket Ground, followed by fixtures in Adelaide and Perth on November 8 and 10, respectively. Pakistan’s last ODI series in Australia was in 2016, where the home team emerged victorious.
Pakistan’s most recent T20I encounter in Australia dates back to 2022, during the ICC T20 World Cup final. The series is set to kick off at The Gabba in Brisbane, with subsequent matches at the Sydney Cricket Ground, as outlined by the PCB.
The tour will conclude in Hobart, where the final T20I is scheduled for November 18.
