In a bid to enhance convenience for citizens during the holy month of Ramadan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the extension of operating hours for Utility Stores nationwide.
This directive, part of the Ramadan relief package, aims to accommodate the needs of the public during Ramadan 2024.
ARY News quoting sources within the government, reported that this decision was prompted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives. As per the new schedule, Utility Stores will now remain open until 10 pm across the country. Zonal and general managers have been promptly instructed to implement these changes.
To further support staff members observing fasting during Ramadan, the government has decided to grant them a daily Iftar allowance of Rs 500. Utility Stores have already issued orders to ensure the timely implementation of these measures, demonstrating their commitment to facilitating both customers and employees during this auspicious month.”
