The news circulating on social media regarding the deployment of Pakistani naval ships in the Arabian Sea has been declared baseless, clarifying that it has no connection to the American coalition’s actions against the Houthis in Yemen.
In a statement providing clarification on the deployment of Pakistani naval ships, it was emphasized that the news circulating on social media about the inclusion of Pakistan Navy ships in Task Force 153 to counter Houthi activities is entirely false and propaganda.
It was stated that there is no association between the deployment of Pakistani naval ships and the American operations against the Houthi rebels. Earlier, the United States had announced the formation of Task Force 153 in the Red Sea to counter Houthi attacks in the region.
According to sources, Pakistan had also rejected the American invitation to join Task Force 153. Pakistan clarified that its navy is neither part of Task Force 153 nor intends to be part of any alliance that is against the Palestinian cause.
The statement further highlighted that the Pakistan Navy has never been used or will be used against Yemen. Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan recently stated on X that the Pakistan Navy is not part of any alliance against Palestine or Hamas.
The post emphasized Pakistan’s complete support for the Palestinian cause and clarified that there is no involvement in any conflict between the Houthis. Pakistan is strategically located at the mouth of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, essential sea passages through which large-scale oil tankers pass. Pakistan Navy’s ships are actively patrolling to ensure the protection of Pakistan’s trade routes in the Arabian Sea.
The naval ships are continuously patrolling to safeguard Pakistan’s trade routes, and constant aerial surveillance is being conducted for the security of commercial ports by the Pakistan Navy. The purpose of patrolling is to ensure the security of Pakistan’s trade routes, and the naval vessels are consistently present in the Arabian Sea to establish a permanent presence.
