RAWALPINDI: Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has requested Army Chief General Asim Munir to release the innocents among the arrested accused on May 9.
According to the details, Sheikh Rasheed said while speaking to the media on the occasion of his appearance in the Special Anti-Terrorism Court that he has joined hands with the Army Chief and General Nadeem Anjum and requested them to form a board on May 9 and release the innocent people.
The decision to seal Lal Haveli against former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed was annulled. According to the details, former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said while talking to the media after the decision of the Rawalpindi bench regarding Lal Haveli came out, he said, “I take God as a witness that I have not been abused. Who is the next prime minister? It will be decided by MQM.”
The Anti-Terrorism Court has extended the interim bail period till December 9 in 10 cases related to the May 9 tragedy of former Federal Minister Sheikh Rasheed. Sheikh Rasheed said that there were dozens of cases against me on May 9, and he was not at any place.
The former interior minister said that on the day of polling, people walking in Murree will be angry, and the election will be held, but the big responsibility should focus on the country’s economy. The real problem is hunger at home, not the election. Attention should be paid to livelihood. The actual case will be on November 30.
Sheikh Rasheed said that he has told all the lawyers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to follow all the cases. Let alone a two-thirds majority, the walkers in Murree will not even be able to secure a majority of 172. If I go to jail, I will fight elections from there too.
