Victoria Beckham has spoken for the first time about the Rebecca Loos cheating scandal, saying: “It was the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life.”
The former England footballer is joined by his wife and former Spice Girl Victoria for candid interviews with producers, where they pick over the past in four bumper-length episodes.
The married couple decided to address an old infidelity allegation for the first time when David’s former personal assistant Rebecca Loos claimed the two had an affair in 2003 while he was playing for Real Madrid. This is just one of the disclosures to come from the series. Beckham consistently refuted her assertion.

The four-part series is released today on Netflix, and gives an endearing glimpse at the intricacies of the couple’s nearly 25-year relationship. Their inseparable early days, David’s love of err… bees, and most tellingly how they coped with the cheating allegations nearly 20 years ago. Aptly, the pair have described the experience of recording the documentary as like “therapy” for them.

Who is Rebecca Loos?

The then 26-year-old Loos worked as David Beckham’s PA. When David relocated to Spain to play for Real Madrid, Victoria remained in the UK with their two young sons, Brooklyn and Romeo.
Rebecca hit the headlines after she claimed she had had a four-month affair with Beckham, which he denies. She lost her job working for the family after she sold her story to the now-defunct tabloid The News of The World.
Rebecca went on to embrace fame, gracing the cover of Playboy and appearing in an infamous stint on the Channel 5 show The Farm in which she did something not totally dissimilar to the Prime Minister’s antics in Black Mirror’s ‘The National Anthem’ episode, albeit for sound agricultural reasons. But the less said about that the better.
The 45-year-old now lives in Norway and seems to have put the public scandal behind her, becoming something of a fitness guru. Rebecca met her now-husband Sven Christjar Skaiaa on the reality show 71 Degrees North, in which celebs race across the Arctic Circle.
