LAHORE: The captain of the national cricket team, Babar Azam has said that there is no fight in the team, and everyone’s respect is and will be the same, however, efforts will be made not to make the mistake of the Asia Cup in the World Cup.
Talking to the media in Lahore before going to India for the World Cup, Babar Azam said that there is a lot of preparation for the event, and they are trying to play well and win the World Cup.
He said that before the losing matches in the Asia Cup, the team was number one, due to the hard work of these boys. “Our team became number one. We will try not to repeat the mistakes of the Asia Cup in the World Cup,” he added.
Captain Babar Azam said, “We have 7 to 8 days before the start of the World Cup, there is no pressure on us, the conditions are not different, and which combination to go with is decided on the day of the match.”
The captain of the national team said that they could not play well in the last two matches of the Asia Cup. “No player is 100% fit and learns every day, but we will play the matches according to the planning,” he added.
He said that before the match, they plan for the order of the team, if they play more cricket, they also get awareness. Captain Babar Azam said, “There is no pressure on us to play cricket in India, we need to improve our fielding, and we will also focus on taking wickets in the middle overs.”
In response to a question, the captain said, ” I am not worried about the performance or not, I have more confidence in my fellow players than myself, the spinners are not performing well but I hope they will show good performance in the event.”
Babar Azam said that our focus is on every match, not just one. Inshallah, we will win 9 matches, and we will also win the World Cup. “Indian cricket fans will also support us,” he asserted.
