Mumbai: India has announced their 15-member squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BBCI) made the announcement regarding the squad by releasing a statement on their social media account.
Rohit Sharma will be the team captain in the World Cup while other players include Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, and KL Rahul.
Apart from this, Vice-captain Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav are also part of the squad.
Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, and Mohammad Siraj are also in the squad for the World Cup.
It is pertinent to note that this year’s One Day International (ODI) World Cup is going to start on October 05 in India. In the event, Pakistan will play its first match against the Netherlands on October 06.
