NATHIA GALI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan wants to promote peace and prosperity around the world.
According to the details, while addressing the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Pakistan and Switzerland to deal with natural disasters at Nathia Gali, the prime minister said that the country only wants to promote peace and prosperity.
Switzerland’s Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis also participated in the ceremony. On this occasion, the Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Swiss Foreign Minister signed the memorandum which is being called as an important initiative.

Officials said that the MoU will benefit both countries. While addressing the ceremony, the prime minister said that the Swiss foreign minister is welcomed on his arrival in Pakistan. “We have had useful and constructive discussions with them,” he said.
The prime minister said that there was a discussion on increasing cooperation between Switzerland and Pakistan. “We will continue to play a role in the promotion of education, IT, and women’s education,” he said by adding, “Pakistan cannot afford to pour resources into war in the region.
He said that there was no benefit in using resources for war in the past. “Today we want to spend the resources for the development of the country,” he said by adding, “The same thinking should be adopted by other parties as well. It is not possible to establish lasting peace without resolving the Kashmir issue.”
