The announcement of Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ had film enthusiasts excited as it featured the talented trio of Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra.
The women-centric road-trip film was eagerly anticipated as another cinematic adventure to the popular ‘Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara’.
However, recent reports suggest that Priyanka Chopra has opted out of the project and the film has been indefinitely delayed.
According to an Indian entertainment outlet, Priyanka Chopra has walked out of the film and a replacement may be required.
Anushka Sharma and Kiara Advani are now being considered for the role. However, there has been no official confirmation from the actor or the filmmaker regarding the development.
Fans have wasted no time in speculating about who would be the ideal replacement and placed their bets that Deepika Padukone would also make for a great addition to the cast.
It was earlier revealed that that scheduling conflicts among the actresses led to the film being postponed. Priyanka Chopra was unable to commit to shooting in 2023 due to her Hollywood commitments and proposed shooting for Jee Le Zaraa in 2024.
Alia Bhatt had already committed to projects like ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Baiju Bawra’ in 2024. Considering the demanding nature of these two films, she was unable to accommodate the film’s shooting dates next year. Consequently, Farhan decided to delay the film.
In April, Priyanka Chopra broke silence on her much-awaited film. When asked about the movie’s happening, she replied, “I think everybody wants to know that. I don’t know. I feel Alia, Katrina and I – all three of us are in the busiest phases of our lives, but I am hoping it happens next year.”
