Karachi: The streak of quitting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) by its leaders, lawmakers, office bearers is not only continue but getting fast with the passage of every day.
On Tuesday several PTI leaders including Shireen Mazari and Fayyaz-ul- Hassan Chohan parted their ways from Imran Khan and his party. All this begun after May 9 incidents during which PTI workers and some leaders attacked Army’s assets and ransacked them. These attacked occurred after PTI chairman Imran Khan was arrested in a corruption case.
Later, Pakistan Army termed May 9 as a black day while law enforcement agencies kicked off a crackdown against the culprits and arrested many PTI leaders and workers.
On the other hand, some PTI leaders termed May 9 incidents unacceptable and against the party policy and started announcing of quitting PTI.
First of all, PTI member National Assembly from Karachi Mehmood Moulvi quit the party and also announced resignation as MNA. After this other party leaders also started quitting the party and so far, more than 25 leaders have said good by to Imran Khan and PTI, while some have also announced quitting politics.
Those who have quit the party included: Mehmood Moulvi, Malik Amin Aslam,Aamir kiyani, Ajmal Wazir( KPK),Muhammad Ali Shah,Jai parkash,Hisham Inam ullah,Jalil Sharqapuri,Aftab Siddiqui,Shireen Mazari,Jamshed Cheema,Mussarat Cheema,Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan,
Kareem Bux Gabol,Usman Tarakai and Ch wajahat hussain.
