LONDON: Portugal’s superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has become the highest-paid athlete of 2023.
The American magazine Forbes has released the list of the 10 highest-paid athletes in 2023, according to which Cristiano Ronaldo has surpassed all other players by earning 136 million dollars.
The Portuguese soccer star has become the world’s highest-paid athlete for the first time since 2017. The star footballer earned 46 million dollars on the field and 90 million dollars off the field during a year.

According to media reports, Ronaldo’s contract with the Saudi club is worth more than 200 million euros. Apart from this, in the Forbes list, Argentinean footballer Lionel Messi was ranked second with $130 million in income, while France’s young footballer Kylian Mbappé was able to earn $120 million and is in third place on the list.
