Local staff reported eye inflammation reportedly due to a spray type material released by the animal.
It may be added here that some species of mongoose are known to release a pungent odor or spray from their anal glands when threatened or cornered. This spray is not typically harmful to humans, but it can be quite unpleasant and may cause irritation or discomfort.
Police were able to capture the wild animal, and it will be handed over to the wildlife department. Interestingly, this is not the first time the animal has entered the Parliament House, as it had also done so the previous day.
