SARGODHA: An anti-terrorism court has granted a three-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Amin Gandapur, in connection with a case registered under terrorism charges.
The court directed the Bhakkar police to complete the investigation within three days and present him again before the court on Tuesday, April 18.
District Magistrate Muhammad Asif Niaz had cleared Gandapur’s name in the illegal weapons case a day earlier, but he was sent to police custody by area magistrate Muhammad Waseem on a three-day physical remand in Sarai Mahajir police station case, which includes charges of attempted murder.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Bhakkar police have registered three cases against the PTI, including one that involves anti-terrorism provisions.
Gandapur was transferred from Islamabad to the Bhakkar Saddar police station on Friday, where three cases had been registered against him under provisions of terrorism and attempted murder.
