Netflix has announced filming a documentary movie based on Indian hip-hop artist and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh.
The project dubbed as ‘bare-it-all docu-film,’ would feature Yo Yo Honey Singh delving deeply into life and his abrupt absence at the height of his success which shocked the industry and fans and attracted a lot of media attention.
The documentary will show the rapper’s personal and professional journey and feature behind-the-scenes footage from Hirdesh Singh, better known by his stage name Yo Yo Honey Singh. It will also feature those who have supported him throughout it all, including his family, friends, and musical collaborators.

In a statement, Honey Singh said, “This Netflix docu-film will give everyone an honest and sincere account of my life, my upbringing, where I’ve been and my current journey to return stronger.”

Directed by Mozez Singh, the documentary is produced by recent Oscar winner Guneet Monga. The documentary film on Yo Yo Honey Singh will premiere later this year.
Born Hirdesh Singh in New Delhi, Honey Singh burst into the music scene in 2003 as a Punjabi rapper. He had hits like Brown Rang, Desi Kalakaar, and Blue Eyes by 2011.
