Asif Qaim Khani, who deals in leather jackets, made MM News recognize genuine leather by putting the leather jacket on fire.
Asif Qaim Khani says that there are 4 to 5 basic types of leather that are mostly used in Pakistan, including sheep, cow, buffalo, goat and lamb leather types and the most sold types are sheep leather.
Sheep leather is lightweight. Asif Qaim Khani says “sheep leather is better to avoid the cold of Karachi. We don’t get that much cold. The price of good quality leather starts from 7 to 8 thousand rupees.”
He said that overseas Pakistanis also come to him for shopping and demand the leather that is available abroad. He added that leather jacket of this quality can be available from 12 thousand to 25 thousand rupees.
