ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall with strong wind in Karachi and other cities of Sindh from November 7.
According to PMD, daytime temperatures in the province are also predicted to drop by two to four degrees Celsius.
In Karachi, the three days ahead will have a maximum temperature of 36C and a low temperature of 21C. On Saturday, anticipate sunny skies, while on Sunday, expect partly overcast skies.
It went on to say that the city’s humidity would fluctuate between 80 and 92 percent in the morning and 30 and 50 percent in the evening.
From November 4 to 7, according to the PMD’s projection from yesterday, the country will experience its first winter rains, along with snowfall in mountainous areas.
Other districts to receive rainfall — due to a “westerly wave” entering the country today — include Dadu, Ghotki, Jacobabad, Jamshoro, Khairpur Kashmore, Larkana, Nausheroferoze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Shikarpur, Sukkur, and Qambar Shahdadkot.
Rain and wind thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms are expected in various cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra, Abbottabad and Malakand — Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan from Nov 4.
The same is forecast by the PMD in other cities of KP and Punjab which include Islamabad, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Jhelum, Sialkot, Lahore, Gujranwala, Mianwali and Faisalabad.
