ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister, Malik Ahmed Khan has alleged that Azam Swati made a false statement in his press conference (yesterday) while Imran Khan is running a malicious campaign to defame the (state) institutions.
Malik Ahmed Khan’s statement came following an appeal by Senator Azam Swati to the Supreme Court to take suo motu on an alleged police torture against him.
Responding to the allegations, Special Assistant Malik Ahmad Khan said that Azam Swati had insulted the Judiciary by making false statements. He alleged Imran Khan framed false cases against political opponents and humiliated them as part of a well thought out conspiracy, adding that Imran Khan was defaming the state institutions.
Earlier, while condemning the alleged torture of Senator Azam Swati, former Prime Minister Imran Khan alleged that criminals had been imposed on the country, he said, adding that such violence on political people had never been seen in any democratic era.
Chairman PTI Imran Khan said that when we asked the police, we were told that we had received an order from superiors. He urged upon the Supreme Court to question FIA regarding the alleged torture. He said had a notice taken against torture on Shehbaz Gill, Azam Swati would not have been subjected to this brutality.
