The entertainment industry is in shock after famous Mumbai TV serial actress Vaishali Thakkar was found hanging in her Indore house earlier today (October 16). Vaishali is known for her role in the daily soap ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.
According to Police, they reached the spot and recovered the body upon receiving a call from the family. The actor at the time of her death was living with her brother and father. Vaishali’s father and brother said that they had no idea that she would take such a drastic step.
Indore Assistant Commissioner of Police M Rahman revealed that a suicide note had been recovered. The 26-year-old actor alleged harassment by a former boyfriend and also mentioned that she was depressed.
Vaishali was engaged to her boyfriend Dr Abhinandan Singh and the couple was about to tie the knot in 2021. However, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor later denied the same and stated she wasn’t getting married soon.

Vaishali’s former fiancé Dr Abhinandan Singh Hundal is a dentist from East Africa. Abhinandan dons many hats as a model, media personality, and business owner.
The Times of India quoted Vaishali as saying that she had never considered an arranged marriage and that her mother had created her profile on the matrimonial website. Vaishali made the decision to wed Abhinandan because she wanted to marry an NRI.
On her Instagram account, the actor introduced him as her beau and posted a photo of their Roka ceremony. Following the cancellation of their wedding, Vaishali later erased the picture.
The Mumabi actor had previously admitted to E Times that she wasn’t in the mood to celebrate when people were dying because of the Covid outbreak. It’s still unclear whether her friendship with Abhinandan had anything to do with the suicide.
