During the new court hearing, Hollywood star Angelina Jolie shared some new and disturbing details involving the abusive behaviour of her ex-husband and actor Brad Pitt against her and their children.
In a cross-complaint as part of an ongoing legal battle over the French winery, the A-list former couple once co-owned, the actress’ lawyer alleged that negotiations for Jolie to sell her share of Chateau Miraval to Pitt broke down over his demand. The deal included Jolie signing a nondisclosure agreement that would have contractually prohibited her from speaking outside of court about Pitt’s physical and emotional abuse of her and their children.
The filing described an extended physical and verbal outburst by Pitt in September 2016 as the couple and their six children flew from France to California. According to court papers, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face and grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her.

“At one point ‘he poured beer on Jolie; at another, he poured beer and red wine on the children’. Jolie filed for divorce days after the trip, which was investigated by federal authorities, who have jurisdiction overflights. The FBI declined to bring criminal charges,” the filing added.
Back when the incident happened and FBI got involved, Angelina decided not to press charges. The former couple was given a 50-50 custody of the children after a closed-door trial in which the allegations were aired. They continue to co-parents their kids. However, the French winery has brought the case back into limelight.
