KARACHI: A clash between two religious groups took place at the shrine of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi, located at the Karachi beach, last night, after which the police closed the shrine for three days to avoid any untoward incident.
On receiving information about the clash, the police reached the spot and dispersed the people of both groups, after which a heavy contingent of police and rangers cordoned off the shrine and closed the premises for pilgrims for 3 days.
According to the police, a case has been registered against more than 200 unknown persons.
According to the sources, the clash took place over the issue of taking over the arrangements of the shrine.

The sources say that one of the conflicting parties belongs to the Barelvi school of thought while the other belongs to the Shiites. According to the police, the situation is under control.
The roads around the shrine have been closed for traffic and no pilgrims are allowed to go towards the shrine.
