KARACHI: Anti-Violent Crime Unit of Karachi Police on Friday recovered a kidnapped minor from Pahlavan Goth.
The 9-year-old Abdullah was kidnapped for ransom on September 13, 2022.
During the operation, Police arrested three captors, the mobile phone used in communication for ransom demand was also seized.
On September 13, the kidnappers snatched 9-year-old Abdullah son of Shafiqullah from Bilal Mosque, Sector 4A of Sarjani town. Police lodged the case (number 1438/2022) against unknown criminals on the same day.
According to SSP Amjad Hayat, anti-violent crime Unit of Karachi Police, the kidnappers demanded Rs2.5 million ransom on September 14, however they upped the demand to Rs3 million on September 15.
With help of technical and cyber resources, the anti-violent crime team of the Karachi Police arrested the suspects involved in the kidnapping for ransom within three days and recovered the minor safely.
Police are further investigating the suspects.
Moreover, Police recovered a 15-year-old boy from Noshehro yesterday. The boy was abducted from Sher Shah in 2021. Parents of the 15-year-old boy had also filed a case in Sindh High Court for the recovery of their child.
