ISLAMABAD: The Public Accounts Committee of the Parliament has ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to recover Rs34 crores from defaulters including former Prime Minister Imran Khan through the Election Commission regarding the use of the helicopter owned by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
The meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of the Parliament was chaired by Chairman Noor Alam Khan in which the new Chairman NAB Aftab Sultan also participated.
Chairman NAB Aftab Sultan briefed the PAC on the helicopter case and told that Rs 7 crore should be recovered from Imran Khan.

He said that in the helicopter case, a recovery of 347 million is made, Imran Khan used the helicopter for 166 hours and he was not the prime minister at that time.
The Public Accounts Committee directed NAB to approach the Election Commission for recovery and asked that a letter be written to the Election Commission for recovery from Imran Khan and others.
