Ali Fawad, Pakistan’s first international judge, represented his country at the World Horse Riding Championships. The sport of horse riding is popular all over the world including in Pakistan but the popularity of horse riding is skyrocketing in Europe.
Ali Fawad not only made decisions as a judge in international competitions but also distributed prizes as president in an event that has made Pakistan famous globally.
Ali Fawad, the first Horse Riding Judge of the country, said that his journey to introduce Pakistan as a judge in the sport of Horse Riding has been full of honors and challenges.
He was honored to represent Pakistan. The need to go abroad as a judge arose because you can bring the game to Pakistan. Horse jumping is an Olympic sport that can bring medals.
Ali Fawad said that now we want to bring this sport to Pakistan according to international rules and regulations. “We want the horse riders to come and represent their countries in Pakistan and we will continue to do so, God willing. I was living a successful professional life in Pakistan Merchant Navy but then I realized that I am not interested in machinery but in horses,” he said.
Ali Fawad said that if you make your hobby work, and not work. “I’m not saying horse riding is hard work, but it’s challenging. We gave middle class people a chance to get into horse riding. If this class does not get involved in horse riding then this sport cannot develop. Going forward this game is going to be very interesting for the middle class as it is a game from half an hour to 40 minutes in which no time is wasted,” he maintained.
He said that the sport of horse riding trains both body and mind. “To control a horse, one has to understand its mind because it is not an inanimate object but a living being with its own emotions. You become more intelligent by understanding this. We need a multi-purpose organized federation at the national level to promote the sport of horse riding so that it can look at different aspects of horse riding,” he explained.
