LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has introduced a new code of conduct to avoid criticism from former cricketers.
According to a report by the Pakistan Cricket Board, the PCB has introduced a code of conduct under which former cricketers will refrain from publicly insulting or making statements about the board.
As per the media reports, PSL franchisees and PCB are reportedly at odds over the code of conduct introduced by the board. The report states that the code of conduct has been confirmed by PCB Director Media Samiul Hassan.
According to the PCB director of media, the idea behind the PCB’s policy is to help everyone understand their responsibility and why it is important to maintain certain values in the public.
The PSL franchises are of the view that banning the free speech of former players is not a wise decision. The PCB intends to help individuals understand their responsibilities and how their words can be more effective.
