KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has made an important forecast regarding the weather in the Sindh capital.
According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury could touch 38 to 39 degrees Celsius in Karachi from April 26 to May 1, while one day the temperature is likely to reach 40 degrees Celsius. As per the Meteorological Department, wind speeds will remain low in Karachi during the day, with winds blowing from the west and northwest for most of the day.

Chief Metrologist Sardar Sarfraz said that the heatwave is likely to intensify in different parts of the country from tomorrow. He said that mercury is likely to hover between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius in Hyderabad and Nawabshah while mercury could touch 44 to 46 degrees Celsius in Dadu, Sukkur, Larkana and other areas.
He said that mercury could touch 48 degree Celsius in some areas while mercury is likely to be 50 degree Celsius in Jacobabad, Bahawalpur, and Khanpur. Sardar Sarfraz said that South and Central Punjab will also be in the grip of heat. Until May 3, the intensity of heat will remain high in different parts of Pakistan.
