Singer Asim Azhar has announced his engagement to longtime friend Merub Ali.
The couple posted identical announcements on Instagram on Sunday evening. “With the grace of Allah Almighty and our parent’s duas, we announce our Imam Zamin – engagement. May Allah SWT and Ahlebait (as) keep us protected and this happy forever, Aameen. Keep us in your prayers,” it said.

There has been various reports about the couple after they wre spotted together. In July last year, Asim Azhar had denied he was engaged to the fashion model. However, he had debunked rumours of doctored images that they were related.
In December, Merub appeared in an where she delved into details about her journey. When asked about her relation with the singer, Merub Ali said, “We’re not step-siblings, we’re not cousins. We’re great family friends and have known each other since childhood. My brother is his best friend and our mothers are best friends.”
Merub Ali debuted in the new drama Sinf-e-Aahan which gained praise for its star-studded cast including Sajal Aly, Syra Yousuf, Yumna Zaidi and Kubra Khan.
