Priyantha Kumara, a general manager of a private factory titled Rajco industries has been tortured to death in Sialkot on charges of alleged blasphemy.
The incident took place on Friday morning when a mob in Sialkot tortured a Priyantha Kumara to death before burning his body on Wazirabad Road. A heavy contingent of police has been sent to the area to bring the situation under control.
According to sources, the mob was the workers of the private factory where Kumara was the manager. The mob attacked the deceased and burnt his body after killing him.
In this regard, Sialkot District Police Officer Umar Saeed Malik said Priyantha Kumara was a Sri Lankan national. Videos of Kumara being tortured to death have been shared on social media which has outraged many people.
