ISLAMABAD: The federal government of PTI, while deciding to maintain the prices of petroleum products from December 1, has increased the levy of petrol and diesel by Rs 4 per liter.
According to the details, despite the decline in crude oil prices in the international market, the government decided to maintain the prices instead of reducing the prices of petroleum products. The levy was also increased by Rs 4 per liter.
According to the official announcement, the price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 145.82 paise, diesel at Rs 142.62 paise, kerosene at Rs 116.53 paise, and light diesel at Rs 114.07 paise from today.

The fruits of falling prices in the world market could not reach the people. The effects of cheaper petroleum products have been adjusted by increasing levies and GST. With the increase of Rs 4, the levy on petrol became Rs 13 62 paise.
The government has also increased the levy on diesel by Rs 4 per liter. The levy imposed was 13 rupees 14 paise. GST on petrol has been reduced to 1.63 percent and on diesel from 7.2 to 7.37 percent.
