The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said that negotiations with Pakistan on obtaining a loan have entered the right direction.
According to details, IMF Director Jihad Azour during a press conference said that the sixth round of talks with Pakistan on various issues is underway in which positive progress is expected.
IMF Director Jihad Azoursaid that progress was being made in the review of financial funds with Pakistan. The terms of the loan program are being reviewed. The IMF Director said that the steps taken by Pakistan for the loan program were also being reviewed as the negotiations went in the right direction.

Earlier, Shaukat Tareen, head of Pakistan’s economic team, dismissed reports of a failure in talks with the IMF as baseless. SBP governor Raza Baqir also expressed hope for success.
Two days before today, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen said that talks are underway with the IMF and hoped that the talks would be successful. In Pakistan, the impression is being given that the talks have failed, which is baseless.
