Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, has stated that the government will make the best arrangements for pilgrims, and under the official Hajj scheme for the year 2025, 90,000 people will be able to perform Hajj.
During a press conference in the provincial capital Lahore, Federal Minister stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif brought good news to the public by reducing electricity prices, and both the government and the people deserve congratulations. He said their coalition government is on a mission to provide relief to the common man.
Sardar Mohammad Yousuf added that this year 90,000 Pakistanis will perform Hajj under the government scheme. All arrangements have been completed in both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. An amount of Rs1.15 million has been allocated for the short-duration Hajj, and Rs1.05 million for the long-duration Hajj.
He said that managing Hajj and Umrah arrangements is the responsibility of his ministry. He personally visited Saudi Arabia during Ramadan to review the arrangements. The Hajj operation is expected to begin on May 28. The first phase of training for pilgrims was completed before Ramadan, and the second training session will begin soon.
