In a report published in 2022, Netflix spent millions of dollars and adopted its “international playbook” to reprise its global success in India. The firm partnered with top Bollywood studios and producers for shows and films. Here is a list of all the Indian and Bollywood films available for streaming on Netflix:
1) Khufiya
Based on Amar Bhushan’s espionage novel ‘Escape to Nowhere’, Khufiya follows R&AW trying to find out the traitor within, as Ali Fazal’s character draws suspicion of being a mole. However, no mystery is as simple, with Tabu leading her team to nab the mole, with the suspicion constantly shifting from one character to the other.
2) 12th Fail
12th Fail which recently won 5 Filmfare awards, is a biographical drama based on the real-life story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame extreme poverty to become an Indian Police Service officer.
3) Three of Us
Three of Us featuring Shefali Shah, and Jaideep Ahlawat is a poignant movie touching on the fading memories of a woman diagnosed with dementia as the mundanity of her life looms over her, like a heavy weight on her heart and mind. She had a sense of yearning to visit her childhood home set in the Konkan region of Maharashtra.
The film beautifully captures the essence of Konkan through stunning frames, making it visually appealing.
4) Kho Gaye Hum Kahan
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is a digital age movie that surrounds Ahana, Neil, and Imaad; the three friends in their 20s trying to find meaning in life. They lean on each other as they navigate the complexities of relationships and self-discovery.
5) OMG 2
The movie is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 superhit ‘OMG! Oh My God’. The sequel features Pankaj Tripathi who plays the role of Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a shopkeeper who is a die-hard devotee of Lord Shiva. His life turns upside down when his son Vivek (Aarush Verma) gets admitted to the hospital due to exhaustion caused by excessive masturbation.
