A 5.4-magnitude earthquake was felt in Islamabad and several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.
The tremors affected various cities in KP, including Peshawar, Swat, North Waziristan, Hangu, Mardan, Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Dir, Mansehra, Battagram, Torghar, and Kohistan. The earthquake was also reported in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore.
According to the Meteorological Department, the quake’s epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountain region of Afghanistan, with a depth of 215 km.
Tremors were also felt in the border regions of Afghanistan and Tajikistan, according to foreign media.
