JHELUM: Federal Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has announced that that the government will provide aid to 45,000 families of Jhelum during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While talking to media reporters in Jhelum, the federal minister said that the government will provide aid for 40,000 to 45,000 families of Jhelum. He said, “The district administration is working for the betterment of masses.”
He further said that the federal government will take every possible step to facilitate the nation in the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the federal minister, Pakistan will be one of the few early countries to overcome the pandemic.
He also urged the people to maintain social distancing, “Follow precautionary measures and connect through phones instead of meeting in person.” he added.
Earlier, Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan’s engineering institutes so far made 150 malfunctioned ventilators functional.”If any private hospital’s ventilator is not functional, we will provide one for free only on the condition if they do not charge a coronavirus patient for services,” he added.
According to the federal minister, the ventilators will also be fixed for free if private hospitals do not charge coronavirus patients. The issue with several public hospitals is that they have ventilators but lack people to operate them, he said.
