TANK: At least four militants were killed in an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last night.
Reports collected the MM News suggest that security forces, after receiving a tip-off, conducted a raid in Ranwal Adda, Tank district, that ensued in a heavy exchange of fire. The shoot-out resulted in the killings of at least four terrorists. Local sources claimed that those killed in the operation belonged to the banned outfit of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan Gandapur/Bhittani group.
A huge cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered from the area of the operation.
TTP, meanwhile, issued a statement confirming the execution of of its fighters in the shootout, adding that the fate of the ceasefire will be decided after this incident.
Later in the evening, a statement released to media by the Inter-Services Public Relations said security troops observed and engaged terrorists’ movement in the general area Tank. During an intense exchange of fire, four terrorists got killed and weapons and ammunition were also recovered from them.
