SWAT: A moderate earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter Scale hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and adjoining areas today (Thursday).
An earthquake has jolted Swat and adjoining areas today. No loss of life or property was reported. According to the seismological center, the depth of the earthquake was 40 km. The epicenter was on the Pak-Afghan border.
Due to the earthquake, people came out of their homes reciting prayers. It may be recalled that tremors were felt in different parts of Balochistan including Khuzdar last month.
According to the seismological center, the magnitude of the quake was 4 and the depth was 20 km while its epicenter was 90 km away from Khuzdar. It may be recalled that even two months ago, tremors were felt in Lasbela district and surrounding areas of Balochistan.

The epicenter of the quake was 12 km away from Bela, while its magnitude was 4.3 and its depth was 12 km. The quake was also felt in and around Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, two weeks ago.
