LAHORE: A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed by Punjab government to investigate into the assassination attempt on life of PTI Chairman Imran Khan has reportedly found out that the attack was carried out from three different shooting sites.
Imran Khan was leading his Long March against present government in a push for his demands for early elections when bullets were fired on his container on November 3 in Wazirabad, Allah Wala Chowk, claiming life of one of his supporter Moazzam and injuring at least 14 others including Khan himself.
The Punjab government on November 9 decided to constitute a Joint Investigation Team to probe into the assassination attempt on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairperson minister Imran Khan.

On December 26, Punjab government declared that more than one assassin was involved in attack on the life of PTI chief Imran Khan during his long march in Wazirabad. Addressing a joint press conference, PTI leader and Adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister on Home Affairs Omar Sarfraz Cheema, and Adviser Anti-Corruption Brigadier (R) Musaddiq Abbasi said the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe the attack on former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan in Wazirabad, revealed that the Prime suspect Naveed Meher was a trained assassin.

Meanwhile, MM News has learnt that the JIT has finally concluded that shots were fired by ‘three unknown shooters, from unknown weapons’ from a considerable height other than the gun attack carried out by the suspect, Naveed Meher, arrested from the spot.
The JIT has also confirmed that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was hit by three bullets on the container-mounted-truck, and re-confirmed that no injury was reported from the official weapons of the police personnel deployed at the venue of the rally in Wazirabad.
