KARACHI: On the instructions of SSP Kemari District, SP Baldia, SHO Mochku successfully cracked down on drug dealers and recovered a large quantity of hashish.
According to sources, Mochko police searched an ambulance number LES- 798 coming from Uthal Balochistan on Lucky Chowrangi Hub River Road on a tip-off, from which a large quantity of hashish was recovered.
During the search, 20 packets of hashish, weighing 25 kg, were found in hidden compartments under the rear seat stretcher of the ambulance.
According to police sources, the driver of the ambulance was identified as Saleem son of Muhammad Amin.
The previous record of the accused is also being checked, while further investigation is underway. The SHO announced a reward for the good performance of the police party.

It may be recalled that in recent days, incidents of drug trafficking have been reported across Sindh including Karachi. Arrests have also been made during operations against inter-provincial drug trafficking groups.
Earlier, a major crackdown was carried out in the city against a group smuggling from Quetta to Karachi.
