DOHA: In the last semi-final of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the defending champion France defeated Morocco 2-0 and qualified for the final.
In the second semi-final of the event played at the Al Bait Stadium in Qatar, the French team dominated the first half. France’s Hernan Dies scored in the fifth minute and it was 1-0 at half-time.
Morocco had several chances in the second half but none could score, with Mouvani scoring another goal in the 79th minute to double the defending champions’ lead. In this way, the defending champion France defeated Morocco 0-2 to make it to the second bar final in a row, after which the French players celebrated the victory.
The FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and France will be played on Sunday, December 18 at Lucille Stadium, while Croatia and Morocco will compete for the third place at Khalifa International Stadium on December 17.
On the other hand, Moroccan fans were heartbroken by the defeat of the team. It should be noted that France has reached the final of the FIFA World Cup for the fourth time, France won the World Cup title in 1998 and 2018.
