2 soldiers martyred, 5 terrorists killed in North Waziristan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday that five terrorists were shot dead by security forces in an intelligence operation in North Waziristan.

As per the ISPR, the operation on the terrorist hideout carried out in the Datta Khel area where five terrorists killed and two soldiers martyred during the raid. The soldiers who were martyred were named as Sepoy Muhammad Shamim and Sepoy Asad Khan.

The ISPR said in a press release that, “Security Forces carried out an Intelligence-based operation (IBO) on militants hideout in Datta Khel, North Waziristan. Five terrorists were killed in exchange for fire. Two soldiers, Sepoy Muhammad Shamim and Sepoy Asad Khan embraced Shahadat.”

Earlier in December 2019, a statement issued by the military media wing in which said that two officials of the security forces were martyred in an intelligence-based operation carried out near North Waziristan’s Charkhel village.
