LAHORE: A 17-year-old boy was killed in an attack by four lions in Lahore’s Safari Park on Wednesday.
According to the administration of the Safari Park, four lions attacked a 17-year-old boy, Bilal after he went towards the cage of lions while cutting grass in the park.
Eyewitness at the park also said that the youth entered the lions’ cage, which resulted in his death. The administration of the Park launched an investigation into the matter to find out the cause behind the incident.
On the other hand, police said they are investigating the matter to sort out the causes of the incident.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar by taking notice of the incident sought a report from concerned officials. He further directed to take stern legal action against those who involved in the negligence.
He further instructed that the neglecters should be brought in the firm grip of law as and provision of justice to the affected family should also be ensured.
Last year, in a similar nature of the incident, occurred in Karachi a white lion had seriously injured a keeper at a zoo in the port city. A 50-year-old, Peer Datta, seriously injured by a lion attacked.
