13 soldiers or Pak Army were martyred in a suicide attack on a security forces convoy in Mir Ali area of the North Waziristan, ISPR said on Saturday.
According to the military media wing, a planned attack took place on a security forces convoy in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, which was carried out by the Indian-backed terrorist organization “Fitna-al-Khawarij”. A suicide bomber tried to target the convoy, which was foiled by the forces in time.
The ISPR said that during the attack, the terrorists rammed a vehicle loaded with bombs into a vehicle in the convoy, as a result of which 13 brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred. Three civilians were also injured in the terrorist attack.
The martyrs include Subedar Zahid Iqbal, Havaldar Sohrab Khan, Havaldar Mian Yousuf, Naik Khattab Shah, Lance Naik Ismail, Sepoy Rohail, Sepoy Muhammad Ramzan, Sepoy Nawab, Sepoy Zubair Ahmed, Sepoy Muhammad Sakhi, Sepoy Hashim Abbasi, Sepoy Mudassar Ijaz, and Sepoy Manzar Ali.
According to ISPR, immediately after the incident, security forces launched a comprehensive search and clearance operation in the area. 14 terrorists were killed in a fierce exchange of fire. The operation is ongoing, and all those involved in the attack will be arrested.
ISPR said that those responsible for the brutal and cowardly attack would be brought to justice, and Pakistan’s security forces would stand firm against terrorism.
