KARACHI: At least 13 people were injured during New Year festivities in Karachi on Wednesday night including two women and a minor child.
New Year’s eve turned out to be dangerous to Karachi as the sound of gunshots resounded all over the city. Revelers cheerfully took to the streets to celebrate the coming year of 2020, but thirteen people were injured as a result of the jubilant firing and raucous behaviour.

The wounded were moved for treatment to various city hospitals including Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Abbasi Shaheed, and Murshid.
With new expectations, hopes and dreams, Pakistan and the rest of the world welcomed the arrival of New Year 2020. A beautiful fireworks show was arranged by Bahria Town Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to welcome the new year.
The Sindh government had already removed the notice banning pillion-riding in a surprise move for the citizens of the country’s biggest city.
