ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have apprehended eight outlaws from several areas of the capital and retrieved hashish, wine and valuables from them, a police spokesman said.
Police spokesperson further informed that on orders of IG Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG Police Operations Waqar Uddin Syed directed all police officials to speed up efforts against lawless elements and ensure their arrests.
SP Malik Naeem Iqbal formed special police squads under supervision of ASP Zohaib Ranjha. Nilore police detained a moonshiner Aaqil Zaman during special checking and recovered 60 liters of wine from his possession.
Meanwhile, Abpara police arrested a bike stealer Basit and found one motorbike from him. Lohi Bher police recovered one 30 bore pistol from Shahid Hussain while Sihala police arrested a female drug trafficker and recovered 1070 grams of hashish. During special checking Ramna police arrested a bootlegger namely Muhammad Javed and recovered 25 liters of wine while Taufique Usman was taken into custody by Shamas Colony police on the charges of fake currency conversion. Bani Gala police detained two culprits Jamil khan and Muhammad Imran involved in theft and illicitly selling petroleum products and retrieved stolen valuables from them.
Cases have been filed against these nabbed individuals and further investigation is in progress.
