KARACHI: Famous Pakistani film and TV star Ali Abbas has tested positive for COVID-19, the actor confirmed on Monday.
On a social media website, Instagram Ali confirmed that he was diagnosed with Covid-19. “Sometimes it’s very important to shed some light on your otherwise fast-paced chaotic life…I will have this opportunity for the next 15 days as I have tested positive for Covid-19..” he said.
The actor said, “Need your love and prayers! Stay blessed! #aliabbas.” The Tum Kon Piya actor appealed to his fans and supporters for prayers.

Earlier, Pakistani actress Sanam Jung and her daughter Alaya had tested positive for the novel coronavirus, she confirmed on a social media post.
The actor revealed in an Instagram story that both herself and her daughter Alaya have quarantined themselves. “I would like to inform all my well-wishers that I have tested positive for COVID-19,” she wrote.
“My daughter and I have been in complete isolation and thankfully, Alhamdulillah have no severe symptoms.” she said, adding, “I would request all of you to take this pandemic seriously.”
On January 6, actor Ali Rehman has tested positive for Covid-19 and urged people to wear face masks to protect themselves from the virus.
Taking to Instagram, the actor, who is currently in isolation, confirmed the news with a heartfelt note, urging everyone to take protective steps and wear face masks to defeat the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
He wrote: “Despite being super careful and taking all precautions, I have unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19. I have informed everyone that I have come in contact with and Alhamdulillah they are all safe.”
The actor continued: “Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts. Wear a mask and follow all SOPs for yourself and for those around you.”
