KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has been shifted to hospital after the former president’s health deteriorated.
According to the details, Asif Ali Zardari was discharged from Karachi Hospital last month on 11th October. However, he has been shifted again after his health became progressively worse.
Booked in multiple corruption cases filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Zardari is out on bail granted by the Islamabad High Court on medical grounds last year. Recently, he was indicted in three corruption cases i.e a money laundering, Park Lane properties, and Thatta water supply references.
On 15th October, the NAB issued arrest warrants for Asif Ali Zardari. The bureau body issued arrest warrants against the former president in the fake accounts case.

According to NAB, the arrest warrants have been issued over suspicious transactions worth Rs 8 billion. Earlier, an accountability court in Islamabad had granted an exemption to Zardari from personal appearance in the Park Lane reference.
In the Park Lane reference, Asif Ali Zardari is accused of causing a loss of Rs 3.77 billion to the national exchequer through fake bank accounts. Other accused in the reference include PPP senators Usman Saifullah, Anwar Saifullah, and Saleem Saifullah.
