ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services Zafar Mirza has warned that the number of coronavirus cases will keep on increasing if people will not follow precautionary measures.
Addressing the media reporters on COVID-19 situation in Pakistan, Zafar Mirza urged that coronavirus cases will spike if precautionary measures will not be followed.
He warned people that things can get much worse if precautionary measures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are not followed.”We are telling everyone repeatedly that the only way to contain the spread of the virus is by following precautionary measures. People using public transport or going into shops should wear masks,” he stated.
Mirza further advised people to follow SOPs and precautions especially on the occasion of Eidul Fitr. “This Eid is different than any other Eid we have had in the past. This year avoid hugging your loved ones and wear a mask when you meet them,” Mirza said.
The SAPM directed people to avoid going to the mosque on Eid. “People should start their Eid day by praying their special namaz at home,” he added.
