Written by Nadia Akhtar, the drama has been produced by Momina Duraid. The story revolves around a brave young girl, who is living a struggled life and is trying to escape from her troubled setup.
She is passionate about her future and strives for creating a better tomorrow for herself. In the drama Bakhtawar, the main lead ‘Bakhtawar’, played by Yumna Zaidi, went away from home in order to earn money and achieve bread and butter for her family so she moved out from her native village with her mother and then started living life as a boy.

The drama serial is based on the real story of a strong lady Fareen Ishtiaq, who lives in Lahore, and pretended to be a man to feed her only daughter and to protect her from the evil eyes of society.
Farheen is a very hardworking person and she has also worked as a cashier in Domino’s Pizza, She also drives Uber and has been living a very struggling life with her daughter in Lahore. She has been living in Lahore since the last 8 years.
The cast besides Zaidi includes Zaviyar Nauman Ejaz, Saqib Sameer, Mizna Waqas, Noreen Gulwani, Shamoon Abbasi, Sunil Shankar, Huma Nawab, and Adnan Shah Tipu.
