LAHORE: The national cricket team will leave tonight to participate in the World Cup scheduled in India.
The national cricket team will leave for Dubai tonight from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore at 9 p.m. for the scheduled World Cup in India and will reach Hyderabad after a short stay.
India’s stay in Dubai has been cut short due to the delay in the visas of the national team. The Indian authorities yesterday issued visas to the 33-member squad and support staff following protests by the International Cricket Council (ICC) of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
On the other hand, there has been no progress regarding visas for Pakistani cricket fans due to which there is concern.
Indian media reports are claiming that only 250 Pakistan fans will be granted visas. It should be noted that the national team has to participate in the warm-up match against New Zealand on September 29.
