Moreover, Shahid Afridi last month announced that he will not be participating further in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season seven as a Quetta Gladiators’ all-rounder.
Afridi’s announcement came hours after he featured in Quetta’s win against Islamabad United. The 41-year-old said that his body is in serious pain. He thanked his well-wishers, who supported him in yesterday’s clash against Quetta Gladiators.
“The pain in my body has become unbearable and I can’t endure it right now,” Afridi said in a video statement. “I wanted to play the PSL for my fans and wanted it to end on a good note but I am unable to do so now. I’m sorry to the management of Quetta Gladiators and my fans,” he said.
