In a tragic incident in Peermahal Tehsil of Toba Tek Singh, a woman allegedly poisoned her two young daughters following a domestic dispute on Monday.
Police reports state that 13-year-old Anam and 8-year-old Misbah tragically lost their lives after consuming poisoned milk, reportedly given to them by their mother in a fit of anger.
The poisoning occurred after a heated argument between the woman, Amina Bibi, and her husband. The incident took place in village 748 GB, within the jurisdiction of Arvati police station.
Authorities have taken the bodies into custody and initiated an investigation into the matter. Amina Bibi has since been arrested on charges of poisoning her daughters, following a complaint filed by the girls’ father, Ghulam Shabbir.
